Why this pastor wasn’t for sale

In the latest controversy to hit the Christian world, conversations are irrupting over the book “Shepherds for sale.” I do not intend to read the book because there are too many pressing matters at the moment. At the same time, I do not think the book is awful. It is indicative of a larger problem in the pastoral world: Our lack of pushing the development of the mind has come home to roost. The same is true of our insatiable thirst to be liked or winsome. Both lead to a woeful lack of developing a biblical theology of politics, and actions that should flow from said theology. The book and the controversy along with it isn’t surprising.

There is much I already have said on the issue. So, below are links to articles dealing with ending the winsome movement, battling critical theory, and pushing for a biblical view of politics.
