A modern version of Nathan’s Parable

The Lord sent Nathan the prophet meet up with King David to confront him about his sin with Bathsheba and Nathan said…

“King David, there was a simple man with simple means upon whom life was hard and a struggle. Another man, his neighbor, was a king and gained great wealth by wrongly leveraging his position. This king, the simple man’s neighbor, wanted to curry and affirm favor with himself from college students, so he forgave a small portion of what people in college owed to the people of his kingdom. This made life harder for the simple man for his money is worth less than before, and harder for his children as college will increase in how expensive it is.”

Then David’s anger was greatly kindled and responded to Nathan “This man deserves punishment and he shall restore the fortune of the simple man fourfold, because he did this and because he had no pity.”

Nathan said to David, “You are that man!”
