Dominoes

While preparing for worship with the church tomorrow, the idea of dominoes came to mind. This week was interesting and did not go according to plan. While easy to be frustrated, I was, circumstances proved otherwise. Each thing that started as a frustration revealed things that needed to be done. Frustrations quickly turned to surprising victories.

What God meant…

Joseph told his brothers that what they meant for evil, God meant for good. God does not allow something to happen for one reason, but often a whole series of reasons. This is why Paul moves to worship at the end of Romans 11. God’s plan for salvation alone is extraordinary. No doubt His plan to conform us to the image of His Son would be just as glamorous.

The bottom line:

If things do not go according to plan, God may be helping you out more than you know. Sometimes being off plan to is to help you in ways you cannot imagine. This is one of the reasons it is important to gather as a church to worship. God’s plan to have you together with your church family is like an amazing layout of dominoes. Planned before the first one fell, and delightful as each one falls into place.
